I'm in your boat, Tina. Also my favorite and also reread a very short time ago! I think it will still be fresh enough to discuss!

I've just started reading it last night. After all Ruark is my favourite guy. I'm going to pay attention this time to see if Shanna is as spoilt as all the reviews says she is. I didn't think she was as bad as what I've read. I think she just wanted a man who would love her and not her money. She wanted a knight in shining armor. You can't blame her for wanting a man that would love her.

I think of Shanna as a unbroken filly. She had all the qualities of the perfect women she just needed the right man to harness those qualities. And with Ruark's expertise in the field of horses, I actually have always felt he could, like with horses, see her full potential.

Now guys remember this is for MARCH not!!! Pre-March Mad.
Some people are only just finishing TW&TD.

Shanna will be fun to reread wasnt so long ago for me either. Last time I enjoyed the pirate Isl more than I usually do. I guess it is growing on me. It really is a fundamental part of the story. I think maybe I just want to get through it to the next section cause that is one of my favourite bits.

I wanted to start Shanna early because I've been having a hard time focusing on anything these days. I was thinking about Shanna last night. KEW calls her the "haughty Shanna" One thing I was thinking that at the beginning of the book was that Shanna has rejected ever man she has come into contact with for a suitable husband. Is it because she is a spoiled brat or is it because all of them really only wanted her money. She thinks to herself in the beginning of the book that she doesn't want to marry for a title but later on in the book, she tells Ruark that if he were rich and titled she would consider him a suitable mate. So Shanna is contradicting herself. Another thing I thought of was Shanna's fear of storms. The book says she has been plagued by this fear since a child. I don't think it mentions why but I may have forgot. She gets married during a storm and finally realizes she loves Ruark during a storm. I wonder if there is some kind of symbolism about Shanna and her fear of storms. Storms could be symbolic of Shanna's tormented thinking. I don't know. Just something I was thinking last night.

I am forcing myself to do other things until March 1, when I can start reading. I jumped the gun with Wolf and have been at a loss since. LOL

Delia, I have to force myself to do anything these days. That is why I have to start reading Shanna earlier. It is taking me longer to read anything. I don't know why I'm having difficulty reading. I usually don't have this problem especially with KEW books. My mind goes from one thing to another it seems. One minute I'm cleaning, the next I'm on the computer, then I switch to a book or puzzle and then to TV. I can't work because of my illness. It is making me crazy lately the way my mind is wandering. I can't figure out why my mind is not focused lately. It started in December. Maybe I need some medicine or something to stop my mind going from one thing to another. lol

I know I started reading Shanna earlier than all of you. I think that I had read it about 5 months ago or somewhere in there. Can't remember. Just wanted to say that now I know why Shanna is one of my favourite books by KEW. The dialogue between Ruark and Shanna is so good. I think the best out of all her books. I think it tops TF & TF. Even though I love that book as well. This time I'm taking a closer look and I love the book even more now than when I have read and reread in the past. I surely hope her new book is just as good and not like Suiter.

Hey Guys. Do what I do! I grab a bunch of easy to read books like Johanna Lyndsay novels. That are great to read but not as involved as KEW. It takes care of the reading bug but still leaves room for other things as they are not as long. Before TW&TD it was hard because I still didnt have a copy of TF&TF. I read about 6-10 books from a varied selection of authors.

I am just waiting for Thursday. I'm forcing myself to wait. Although, some of you can start sooner, because Thursday comes sooner. In the meantime, I'm contenting myself with computer games and doing research for my story.

I have been very busy reading vamp novels but will pick up Shanna this week and be involved with the discussions....after I get some house work done. ha ha ha.......
