My name is Liliane I'm 45 and I'm from Belgium.I've been a "fan" since the earlie '80's when I read "Shanna" and "A rose in winter".I am a massive Patrick Stewart fan and since he's back in the UK I go see him in plays as much I can.Other than that if you'd like to know more about me you can ask Wink

A Trekie, welcome. My mom loves Star Trek. She has little dolls of the characters from TNG and those little cards you can collect. She buys all the Christmas ornaments of Star Trek. I like the original Star Trek and the original movies with Captain James T Kirk. Live Long and Prosper!!!

Welcome, Liliane! Have you read all of KEW's books? Which is your favorite? The two you mentioned happen to be my top favorites. Have you heard the news that her next book, titled Everlasting, is being published on October 30 this year?! We all just got the news here a few days ago and can hardly wait!

Thank you all for the lovely welcome Very Happy
To Penny, yes I've read all of KEW's books. My favourites being A Rose in Winter (Als rozen weer bloeien:If roses bloom again),Petals on the River(Geketend door liefde:Chained by love) and ofcourse The Flame and the Flower (Waarheen de storm ons voert:Where the storm brings us).I have most books in english and dutch, depends what mood I'm in to read whatever language. There's one book I did not like and that's the one set in Russia(forgot the title now...sorry)Maybe it is just me but I could not get into it and stopped reading halfway Confused I read here about the new book so that sure is something to look forward too!

To Andrea:No I don't live in the UK but I spent so much time there that everybody here says I should go live there Rolling Eyes I was in London earlier this week to see Patrick Stewart(had a week off from work) I had hoped to go again next month but what with work I had to wait too long to know when I could go to London and ofcourse it is a complete sold out now Crying or Very sad But I'll be in Chichester during the summer!!!! Laughing I've got a week in July and 2 weeks in august so I'll be spending my money there Wink

Welcome Lilianne. It is great to meet new members so we get a different point of view. Ashes is my all time favourite.

Forever in Your Embrace. There are actually two versions of this book. A few years after the original version, an "author's preferred edition" came out which has 2 or 3 significant scene changes/additions, and several other minor changes. The opinions are divided on which is the better version. I personally liked the second edition much better, but there are others on this forum who cheerfully disagree with me. (Hi Jackie! Very Happy ) I would give this book another chance if I were you. Especially if it has been several years since you first tried it.
