Sarah is the gal Ashton hired and is an escapy from the asylum where Malcom had her sent. As I recall, before Lierins wedding to Maclom, she was handed a note as well as a wedding picture of Sarah and Malcoms wedding by Sarah's brother, which proved the existance of Sarah. I don't believe Lierin read it until after the wedding with Malcolm. Lierin was off to meet Sarah's brother who I believe was going to take her to see Sarah and prove she existed. The ending of this book was fast, but that didn't trouble me as much as two other issues.

Why wouldn't Lierin have attempted to notify Ashtons family of his death after the steamer incident? She knew he had family and a plantation they were going home to. Certainly they would have made an attempt to notify them. And why wouldn't Lierin or Lenore have spoken with the Grandfather before he died? Ashton made it to him. You would have thought Lierin would, even if her father was angry, notified her grandfather that Ashton had been killed. If she had done either, they never would have been apart for 3 years. These are things that are out of Lierins character to have not done....kind of like Ruark going upstairs with the bar maid.....totally out of character but without it you would have no premise for the story.

Mari, I'm glad you decided to reread So Worthy My Love. I'm only half way through it (a little more), up to the part where Nicholas, Maxim, and Elise journeyed to Lubeck to meet Nicholas' mother. So far I'm loving the book.. at times it makes me laugh too!
Cale, I'm looking foward to your question/answer post. I don't remember the details from Come Love A Stranger, but I would still like to read what others have to say about the book that left me somewhat confused in the end... just like the post prior to mine (very helpful).

Tina...that whole bit you just mentioned must have gone over my head or something. I don't recall any of that. I don't recall the picture thing...wow. How could all that have escaped me ? So it was Lieren the whole time, and she was coming from the asylum on the horse, and ran into Ashton's coach and lost her memory. Malcolm put her there just like he put Sarah there, is that right ? The brother and picture thing.....It must have been one of those late night readings, that i just didn't comprehend that part. As soon as I get the after taste of this book out of my mouth, I am going to start the other. I liked the book...until the very end....I reallly felt like I missed something major to be so confused !!

I remember it's just so much all within a few short pages, it get's a little fast, but enjoyable none the less. When I first read it I knew I'd like it, It is written by KEW, but I tend to not like amnesia storylines. Come Love a Stranger and the Anastasia cartoon are the only memory-loss stories that I really liked and enjoyed.

I loved the storyline, the twin thing, the lost memory, the two men fighting over her and not really knowing...I thought it was ingenious ! But when you read a whole book and then don't quite get the end...you get frustrated alittle...! I may have to read it a third time !

Lierin was never in the asylum...as a patient. I haven't done a complete reread due to lack of time but I think she witnessed the murder of the brother and then took off on their wedding night. Malcom tried to off Sarah by burning down the the asylum. Lierin lost her memory in the accident with Ashton.

There are clues all through out that she is Lierin, it is just gets disquised as allusions or nightmeres. She dreams standing over Aston's grave and she interprets as a fear that Malcom will kill Ashton..what it really is is a memory of Malcom taking Lierin to Ashtons phony grave after the steamer incident.

I really need to read this book. I don't remember being confused when I read it though. Just been a while since I read it.

1. i agree that the ending of Come love is rather abrupt...is like a whirlwind situation, just things just patch up on its own...
2. now that you mentioned, there can be a lot of meaning to lol- laughing out loud, lots of love, lots of laugh, lingering on love...etc
3. if i were God, i disguise myself as a commoner, walk along side with my children, show them that little kindness, can change someone's life and in the long run can change the world...

I knew that Lieren was she because KEW wouldn't have the hero sleeping with the sister...even by mistake.
Fulvia...I seem to offend people whether I am kidding or not...so I just lay it all out there. I am not a good liar and its impossible for me to be phony. Can't do it. People I haven't liked in my life, knew it. I just told a neighbor yesterday her house looks like a shit-hole and then called her a troll. Her and her husband have been nothing but trouble on my used to be nice block since they moved in a year ago. I now am moving a pool because of them. They will have no rest the remainer of their lives on this block. We are nice to everyone, until they give us cause not to be...and then we are assholes. Hubby says 'You had nice Bill, now you have asshole Bill." I love that line. And asshole Bill is relentless. Sorry to go off on that rant...its part of the reason for not using those three letters of computer talk....reminds me of two internet dorks who tried to steal our child and take her across the country. That would be a whole other rant !! OK, I am done.

I might just have to use your husband's line, Mari. I like that.

I can't believe someone would make you move your pool. I quit talking to my dreaded neighbor for over a year because of her crap!!! She caused so much heartache for a few of us here. Just because of her devil offspring. But I finally called her to give her the news of our neighbor's death. I just stay away from them. You know, this other neighbor of mine came over and told me this other neighbor asked him what we did all day. Like its any of anyone's damn business!!! Well, I could invite them over and let them see if they are so interested. They know Tony is too sick to go anywhere so what's it to them if we have to remain here stuck in the house. It is what it is until Tony gets better!!! They should just shut up and mind their own business!!!

Cale...Hubby corrected me...the line is 'You had Sweet Willie, now you get Willie the Jackass." (His nickname is Sweet Willie, the reason for the old avatar I had.) Either way its a good line !
Jeanne...some neighbors are just dirt.

For sure. The neighbor that told me that was so drunk. He is always drunk. Across the street are three houses and in all of them are drunkards!!! No lying. It is kind of funny though. When that neighbor came over here he said to me, "I haven't talked to you in a while" and I said to him, yes, you did!!! Don't you remember when you staggered over here last week when I was getting my mail!!! We pretty much keep to ourselves anymore anyways. The kids are older now and not involved with the devil's spawn or the other low lives in this neighborhood. There aren't many kids around here anymore. At least on this side. They stay on the other side for the most part now. As long as they leave my kids alone, I'm happy.

This neighbor had someone's car towed and blamed us. He told others that I 'service' men while my husband was at work, he had been calling us 'assholes' behind our backs because we wouldn't move 90ft of vinyl fencing over to the party line so he could use it....all the while he is smiling in our faces, borrowing tools and mowers, and asking for help. When we found out what he was saying, hubby gave him a verbal beating that he has not fully recovered from to this day. He will not come out of the house unless he peeks out first to make sure hubby is not around. He was two inches from his face, I am surprised he didn't have a stroke. Everyone on the block hates this couple because this couple did something sneaky to everyone. They are now ostracized. No one will speak to them. I like the old testament...eye for an eye...I am not big on forgiveness alot of the time.

Yes, that one neighbor was like that. The girl with the devil children. She would fight with everyone!! It is just that her kids could do no wrong. They would call us for the stupidest things about my kids. I wish I would have let my kids whack them a long time ago but I didn't. You know how stupid it was? They threatened someday to have their youngest beat my kids up in 8 years. Like my kids will be at college by then and not give them a second thought by that time. Her youngest is about 8 years younger than mine. The older one, a few years behind James in school. I want my kids driving before that little jerk makes it to high school. I canna imagine my boys on the bus with this jerk. It is a fight in the making. I really don't think about her too much anymore though. It is really not a matter of forgiveness. I just really don't care what she does but I am always mindful of what has happened and I don't forget. I just don't need this kind of drama in my life. I don't need a DRAMA MAMA!!!!
